As a former Kindergarten teacher, I LOVE children’s books. We have A LOT, but I don’t think you can ever have too many! One thing I’m super passionate about is reading to little ones. It’s good for their little brains. It’s also good for bonding. Lap time with a book can be a very special time for both the reader and the child. Lot of memories are made on a lap with a book!
One of the perks of having a big family is a lot of helpers! We have 2 non readers in our home, but that doesn’t’ stop the little guy from trying to read to his little sister.
These colorful board books are perfect for my non-readers. They are stimulating for Penelope and Dax actually feels like he is “reading” to her! It’s so sweet to watch them interact with books together!
As much as I love the lap time, I think I love watching my kiddos bond together more. To see the joy and excitement they show when the little ones reach a reading “milestone”. Those first words, colors, and numbers are so exciting!
