I’m over halfway through this pregnancy and just now starting to look slightly pregnant. This is baby number 5 (pregnancy 6) so I fully expected to look pregnant pretty quickly…..I’ve been in the ate too much ice cream phase for WAY too long!!
Being that maternity clothes only last a few months, I absolutely hate spending money on them. I have a hard time spending money on me in general, but especially for something I’m only going to use a few months.
When I do shop for me, I tend to gravitate to The Gap for everyday style. I figured I’d head there to find some items that I could get use of now AND later!
Here are a few things I’m loving right now! Any advice on jeans would be greatly appreciated….it’s hard to find bottoms for this tiny girl during pregnancy. Leggings may be what I live in all fall/winter.
Casual Tops
These tops are great for now and later. The boyfriend fit button downs are perfect for a growing bump and are nursing friendly. The v neck tee is my favorite everyday staple! This might be 90% of my wardrobe!! The softest tee shirt and so versatile!
Sweaters
I love these non-maternity sweaters. The oversized fit is in right now so it’s perfect to just size up and get through the bump growth! Then you’re right in style after baby with the oversized fit!
A little size comparison. Easy to go from XS to S and still work for the bump or not. I chose to go with my normal XS in this particular sweater because it’s super stretchy!
Dresses
How great are these basic t-shirt dresses!!! So comfy. Throw on and go! Transition to fall with a little jean jacket!
The sweater dress is actually maternity and I’m planning to wear it during the holiday season. Hopefully the bump will fill the dress out by then.
Maternity Style
I figured might as well invest in a couple of actual maternity tops. They were on a really good deal or I probably wouldn’t have pulled the trigger. The first one has functional buttons and will be great for nursing after baby comes. I love the softness of Gap T-shirts!!
