Floor plan choosing was easy………….then we had to pick the interior things (counters/floors/faucets/cabinets/etc…). We actually made that through fairly well. Not gonna lie, I was prepared for some disagreements. Creg was pretty awesome, though and when he disagreed it wasn’t enough to trump my choice. The hardest decision…….EXTERIOR COLOR!!!!! Creg and I have both loved a cornflower blue color for siding. We were excited to have a house THAT COLOR…….Weeeeellllllllll, the builder apparently doesn’t share our love for BLUE! The builder likes brown, tan, grey, white, cream…..essentially, UGLY! There was one choice, that was different. No one else in the subdivision had that color yet, and to our knowledge no one else has picked it for future builds. It’s not a hue I generally gravitate to…..Buuuuut, we picked it! Maybe WE picked the ugly color! HA!! We actually took an extra week to decide. I pinterested and googled all sorts of color combinations. And I found an image I loved. I was nervous, but I signed on the dotted line and the color was ordered. When we specified our colors to the builder he gave the “are you serious” face. So here are the colors……What do you think?
They dropped off the pallet and I pried a box open, and then, got nervous…..it didn’t look like what I thought it should. It looked more grey than green. The box said sage and I told myself when it’s over the entire house and in different light it will look different……
I waited nervously until the next time we drove up to the house (it’s a daily thing for Andrew and me while we wait for the girls to get out of school)……
Relief!!!!! I was SO excited!!! So are you ready for the finished product???? I’m in love!!! I can’t wait for the pillars to be on the front porch and the door to be painted BLUE.

I love the color you chose! Can wait to see the final product
I think it looks great! What a seemingly small decision that is really a HUGE decision!
I love your color choice!!! (Says the girl with the light yellow house and grape purple door.) Has the builder seen it?
I think that it looks great! I would of picked that color too… something that was different.
I’m so glad your color turned out so beautiful! We painted our former house and I wasn’t happy with the finished color. ? It worked out but I will definitely have to use samples next time. Lol
The color looks amazing, look forward to reading the finish post.
