Have you heard of Smelly Belly TV??? Yes, you read that right! It’s a family that documents their life on youtube. Who knew youtube videos could be so entertaining? My girls LOVE Smelly Belly TV! Yesterday morning, they watched an episode where they made slime. Mo and J decided they needed to make some slime, too. Here’s a little recap of our experience…. Slime
Ingredients
Glue (not the washable school glue) Buy it in bulk….You’ll be making it often!
Water
Borax
Food Coloring (optional)
Empty an entire glue bottle into a bowl. Refill the glue bottle with water. Shake it it up to help get some of the extra glue out of the bottle. Dump that into the bowl and mix together. In a separate cup, dissolve 1 tsp. of borax in a cup of warm water. Add this by spoonfuls to your glue mix until you get the desired consistency. Keep working with it. It changes the more you play.
Add your food coloring or split it up and make lots of different colors. Forewarning…… See image below!!!!! It was totally worth it, though. If you’re concerned about turning into Barney, wear gloves or use a spoon while mixing.
Play for days!!!!! Just keep it sealed tightly when not in use. The girls are loving this slime!
The girls think it’s pretty awesome that they can have their very own youtube channel…….You can find their first tutorial here. They even enlisted the help of their super cool stepdad. Good thing he knows a thing or two about video/audio editing! He even wowed them with their own intro and ending! We think he’s pretty awesome. Thanks for the help, Creg!
